Mr.Carl Edward Weber, 84, of Poplar Dr. in Washington, passed away Saturday evening, June 6, 2020, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. Mr. Weber was a native of Wilkes County and had lived here all of his life.He was the son of the late Noble Weber and Alice Vinson Weber, and was the husband of Katrina Denard Weber.He was a retired United States Post Office supervisory clerk, retiring in 1991.He enjoyed his antiquing business for many years after his retirement.He also enjoyed raising, training, and hunting his bird dogs, and was a very accomplished tennis player with a wealth of knowledge about the history of the sport.He was a 50 year Mason, was of the Baptist Faith, and was preceded in death by a son, Mark Weber. He is survived by his wife, Katrina D. Weber, of the home; one son, Wade Weber, and wife Carolyn, of Washington; one daughter, Donna Weber Bufford, and husband Dennis, also of Washington; three grandchildren, Tracy B. Weber, Katrina B. McNair, and Alaina W. Waters; and three great granddaughters, Grace Ann McNair, Ava Weber, and Hannah Weber. Private graveside services will be held at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Roy Cates officiating.Pallbearers will be Tracy Weber, Coy Waters, Daniel McNair, Tim Crook, and Darrell Crook. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
