Burnard Samuel Swann

Mr. Burnard Samuel ‘Sammy’ Swann, Jr., 67,died November 1, 2013 in Baytown, Texas.A native of Washington, Georgia, he was the son of the late Burnard Samuel and Juanita Byrd Swann.Sammy served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a retired heavy equipment operator.In addition to his parents, Sammy was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa, on August 10th of this year. A graveside memorial service with Military Honors will be held Thursday, November 21st at 2:00pm in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Daniel Martin will officiate. Survivors include one son, Michael Swann and his wife Adell, of Highlands, Texas; stepson, Daniel Martin and his wife, Denise, of Emerson; two sisters and their husbands, Helen and David Harrell, of Ocala, FL and Janice and Nick Jones, of Quitman; aunt, Nancy Barker, of Watkinsville; two grandsons, Paul and Trent Martin.
