Brenda Currie Phillips

Brenda Price Currie Phillips, 66, of Washington, GA, formerly of Apex, NC, passed away, May 3, 2015 at Pruitt Health in Washington, GA. Brenda was born February 9, 1949 in Raleigh, NC to the late Zeb Wallace Price and Lottie Ruth Goodwin Price. She was a graduate of Enloe High School in Raleigh and King's Business College in Charlotte. Brenda was employed with the North Carolina State Comptroller's Office for over 20 years and was co-owner of Currie's Metal Refinishing and Deadline Express. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Ray Currie; second husband, Richard Phillips; and step-son, Gregory Phillips. Brenda is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Currie Haynes; son, Steven Currie and wife, Sharon; step-daughter, Rebecca Norton and husband, Casey; step-daughter, Cici Chapman and husband, Ed; and grandchildren, Charles "Chip" Culbert Haynes III; Evan Ray Currie; and Skyla Rayann Haynes. A funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 1288 Mt Pisgah Church Rd, Apex, NC 27523. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
