With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Brenda Gayle Lipscomb, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Brenda was born on November 30, 1957, to in Valparaiso, Florida, and spent her later years in the warmth of Tignall, Georgia. She passed away on December 5, 2024, at the age of 67.
Brenda was a dedicated and skilled medical transcriptionist, who spent her career ensuring accuracy and care in her work. Her meticulous nature was not just confined to her profession; it was evident in the love and effort she invested in her relationships and hobbies.
Brenda had a heart full of kindness and a spirit that touched all who met her. A true testament to her generosity, she welcomed everyone with open arms. She never met a stranger and leaves behind a legacy of warmth and hospitality. One of her greatest passions was crocheting, where she created countless treasures that will be cherished by her family and friends.
Brenda is survived by her parents, Cora Lee Heath and Francis Lipscomb, Sr., her loving daughters, Mechell Shaver (Matthew) and Noel Morris (Jeffery), and her cherished siblings, Francis Lipscomb Jr., Bonnie Lauer, Shaun Ducret, and Wendy Williams. Her legacy continues through her 11 adored grandchildren: Laci, Zach, Savannah, Lynda, Stacy, Dylan, Grant, Grayson, Nathan, Keegan, and Zayden, and her five precious great-grandchildren: Landon, Zachariah, Isabella, Tanner, and Joseph. Brenda also leaves behind cherished memories with her fiancés children, Jessica Skinner, Tyler Box, and Casey Box.
She joins her beloved brothers, James Lipscomb and Jerry Lipscomb, who preceded her in death.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Brenda and Shauncey’s life at a memorial service held in their honor. The service will take place on December 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation starting an hour prior. It will be a time to share memories and honor the incredible life they led.
Arrangements have been thoughtfully provided by Hopkins Funeral Home. Brenda will be dearly missed but forever remembered by the many lives she touched. Her warmth, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
