Bobby Powell

Mr. Bobby Eugene Powell, Sr., 76, of Tignall, died December 28, 2009 in Wills Memorial Hospital.He was a native of Lincoln County, the son of the late Johnny and Mable Danner Powell.Mr. Powell was a retired welder for commercial construction.He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 31st at 2pm in Hopkins Funeral Home with Rev. Wade Palmer officiating.Interment will follow in Tignall Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include three sons and their wives, Mike & Judy Powell of Elberton, Bobby & Janice Powell of Elberton, Tony & Kelly of Washington; one daughter, Deborah J. Powell of Pensacola, Florida; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Penfield Christian Homes, 1061 Mercer Circle, Union Point, GA. 30669-2205.
