Bobby Harold Ansley, Sr.

Mr. Bobby Harold Ansley, Sr. of Washington, Georgia, entered into rest on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Ansley was born in McDuffie County to the late Floyd and Valeria Raybon Ansley.  He drove a gas delivery truck for a number of years, and had worked in lawn maintenance and landscaping, which he loved.  Bobby was well liked in our community and by all who had the chance to meet him.  His low key, laid back attitude made him a favorite in these parts.  He was a big supporter of AA, and continued to help them in many ways.  He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Bobby H. Ansley, Jr., and wife Tena, of Tignall; two brothers, Billy Ansley, of Daytona Beach, Fl., and Ronnie Ansley, of Martinez; one sister, Mildred A. Kent, of Harlem; one grandson, Bobby H. Ansley III; and by three great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by four brothers, and by one sister.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Ebenezer Baptist Church with a reception to follow.
