Bobbie Jack Jones Mr. Bobbie Jack Jones, 74, of Washington, died May 5, 2009 in Wills Memorial Hospital.He was a native of Griffin, Georgia and the son of the late Alton and Eunice Usury Jones.Mr. Jones was retired from the U. S. Air Force, a charter member of VFW Post #5448 in Griffin and was the Department of Georgia VFW Photographer for thirty years.He was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Jones. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 11 a.m. in First Baptist Church, Washington with Rev. Brian George and Rev. Klay Aspinwall officiating.Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery with full military honors. Survivors include his wife, Sherrill V. Jones; two sons, Dwayne Jones, Griffin and Jay Jones, Griffin; three daughters, Shari Boyt, Newnan, Lori Boyt, Griffin and Kimberly Van-Belkum, Griffin; one stepson, Keith Pate, Washington; one step daughter, Karen West, Crawfordville; five brothers, Jerry Jones, Phoenix, AZ, Billy Jones, Steve Jones, Sonny Jones, Ronnie Jones, all of Griffin; three sisters, Gloria Neal, Pam Jimmerson, both of Griffin and Cathy Basler, of Washington State; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Hopkins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
