Blanche Chafin Sisson

Mrs. Blanche Chafin Sisson, 100, of Washington, passed away October 7, 2018 at Harper’s Personal Care Home.A lifelong resident of Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late George P. and Connie Moss Chafin.She was the wife of Harold Sisson who preceded her in death in 1995.Mrs. Sisson was a homemaker after retiring from the Textile Industry and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Harold Michael and Dean Sisson, of Washington;three grandchildren, Mrs. Jeri S. (Cliff) Pounds, Mrs. Jenny S. (Jason) Dove and Mrs. Julie S. (Jeff) Driggers all of Washington; five great grandchildren, Ryan and Ally Hucke, Morgan and Chase Dove and Maggie Max Driggers; and special niece, Shirley Goldman. Pallbearers will be Cliff Pounds, Jason Dove, Jeff Driggers, Ryan Hucke, Bruce Rogers and Carl Sisson Jr. Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Cemetery on Wednesday, October 10th at 11:00 with the Rev. Benson Bottoms officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday evening at Hopkins Funeral Home.
