Billy Thomas Savage

Mr. Billy Thomas Savage, 72, of Tignall, died July 17, 2012 in Wills Memorial Hospital.A native of Homer, Georgia, he was the son of the late Clark Roger and Mamie Viola Parr Savage.Mr. Savage was retired from the Washington City Water and Sewer Department.He was a member of Tignall Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon for many years, as well as serving on many church committees.After forty two years of marriage, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Louise Teems Savage.One sister, Brenda Fernandez and two brothers, Roy Savage and Ralph Savage also predeceased him. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00am in Tignall Baptist Church with Rev. John McPherson officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include two sons and daughter in law, Gregory Lynn Savage, of Tampa, FL, Gary and Cristy Savage, of Monroe; and one daughter and son in law, Lisa and Mickey Smith, of Washington; five grandchildren, Traci Nicole ‘Niki’ Savage, Brittany Anias Savage, Donald ‘Don’ Olson and his wife, Ashley, John Thomas ‘J.T.’ Olson, and Kayla Marie Selma; one great grandchild, Aiden Broc Olson; sisters, Katherine Hainor, Dorothy Scholten, Madelyn Young and Mary Cuce; and brothers, Wilton Savage and Randy Baker. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 – 8pm at the funeral home.
