Betty Denard Stevens

Ms. Betty Olivia Denard Stevens, 86, of McDonough, passed away Tuesday morning, January 29, 2019, at Westbury Health and Rehabilitation in McDonough. Ms. Stevens was a native of Wilkes County and was the daughter of Willie Jep and Eunice Matthews Denard. She was the wife of the late Gerald F. Stevens and was a homemaker. She is survived by one son, Mark T. Stevens, of Monticello, and by one daughter, Jill S. (Rhett) Long, of McDonough; one sister, Nancy Denard (Kerry) McAvoy, of Washington, and by one brother, Larry Denard, of Birmingham. AL; four grandchildren, Bridgette Luckey, Brandon Welch, Clint Long, and Kyle Stevens; and by two great grandchildren, Tristen Adams, and Connor Adams.She was preceded in death by a son, Gerald LaGrande (Jerry) Stevens. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Friday, February 1, 2019, at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Rayner officiating.Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phillip Stevens, Stephen Broome, Mike Boynton, Kyle Stevens, Brandon Welch and Tristen Adams. The family will receive friends on Friday, for one hour before the service (2:00pm - 2:50pm) at Hopkins Funeral Home.
