Betty Lois Tyler Silvey

Mrs. Betty Lois Tyler Silvey, 83, entered into rest Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Tignall House Personal Care Home. Mrs. Silvey was born in Rabun County, and had lived in Wilkes County for the last 63 years. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Genie Moore Tyler, and was the wife of the late Terry W. Silvey.She was retired, had worked as a supervisor at the Royal Manufacturing Company for a number of years, and was a member of the Harvest Time Christian Center in Washington. She is survived by three daughters, Becky S. Paradise, of Athens, Sonia S. Kimmons (Les), of Commerce, and Akisha S. Lowe (Jason), of Savannah; two sons, Tim Silvey (Debi), of Crawford, and Jason Silvey (Sam), of Olathe, KS; 12 grandchildren: Erika Lord, Adam Abdel-Hafez, Alanna Holloman, Evan Holloman, Brent Silvey, Breanna De Jiacomo, Paige Silvey, Jake Lowe, Connor Lowe, Tucker Lowe, Barrett Silvey, and Brooks Silvey; 10 great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Buchanan, Alice Franklin, and Joyce Sullivan; sister in law, Evelyn Jackson; and her “son-in-love”, Bill Holloman. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Washington-Wilkes Memorial Garden with Rev. Russell Bruce officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening, November 19, 2021, from 6-8pm at Hopkins Funeral Home. Hopkins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Betty Lois Tyler Silvey.
