Mrs. Betty Saggus Hall, 80, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Pruitt Health Care in Washington. Mrs. Hall was born in Wilkes County and had lived here all of her life.She was the daughter of the late Casper Miles Saggus and Rebecca Chafin Saggus, and was the wife of George Teasley (G.T.) Hall, Jr.They had been married for 60 years.She was a seamstress in the textile industry and had also worked for the Wilkes County Board of Education in the school cafeteria.She was known for her seamstress skills as well as for her cooking and baking expertise.She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Donald Saggus, and was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband, G.T. Hall, of Washington; two daughters, Terry Cooper (Kyle), of Auburn, and Janet Pharr (Darren), of Washington; three grandchildren, Michael Pharr (Rachel), of Athens, and Chandler and Alex Pharr, both of Washington; and by a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Thursday, January 11, 2018, at the Rehoboth Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Albert Huyck and Rev. Thomas Hall officiating.Visitation will be Thursday afternoon from 12:30 until 1:30 at Hopkins Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Edward Saggus, Wade Hall, Kyle Cooper, Darren Pharr, Michael Pharr, Chandler Pharr, and Alex Pharr. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
