Mrs. Betty Jean Cato Guin, 75, died Wednesday, August 11, 2011, at University Hospital Mrs. Guin was born in Union Point and lived most of her life in Danburg.She was a retired seamstress and had worked at Royal Manufacturing Co. for a number of years.She was the daughter of the late Lewis Cato and Thelma Pullen Cato, and was the widow of J. W. Guin.She was a member of the Fishing Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Saturday morning, August 14, 2010 at 11:00 at Fishing Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Cates and Rev. Ficklen Guin officiating.Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons:Bryan Guin, Travis Guin, James Davis, Steven Guin, Patrick Guin, Thomas Guin, Justin Guin, and Jeremy Guin. Mrs. Guin is survived by four sons, Mike (Joyce) Guin, of Danburg, Matt (Beth) Guin, of Lincolnton, Jay (Debra) Guin, of Washington, and Jonathan Guin, of Tignall; 14 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Hopkins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fishing Creek Christian Organization Fund.
