Benjamin Neil Jones

Mr. Benjamin Neil Jones, 80, of Courtground Rd. in Washington, entered into rest on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia. Mr. Jones was born in Washington, Ga., and had lived there for most of his life. He was the son of Benjamin Francis Jones and Vera Blanche Callaway Jones, and was the husband of Thelma June Jones. He had worked as a machine operator for the Westclock Co., was of the Baptist Faith, and had formerly attended Sardis Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, June J. Jones, of Washington; one son, Stacey Jones,of Washington; and by his brother, Albert Jones, of Hartwell. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Emily Carol J. Anderson, and Ethel Ester J. Miller. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Casper officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, January 23, 2023, at Hopkins Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the time of the service (12:00-2:00pm).
