Ashley was born on April 29, 1981, in Augusta. As a young mother, she was dedicated to her children and made Washington her home. She was a compassionate person who found meaningful work in caring for others. After many years as a pharmacy technician at Fievet Pharmacy, she pursued her calling to be a nurse and graduated from Augusta Technical College in 2008. Since becoming a nurse, she dedicated her career to caring for residents of local nursing homes; most recently at Heardmont Nursing Home and Rehab of Elberton. She found joy in caring for her residents and took pride in her work, but her greatest joy in life was her children. Her face lit up, and she beamed with pride whenever she was able to share stories and pictures of her kids. Her southern upbringing instilled in her the values of family and friendship. She was genuine, caring, and possessed a loving and forgiving nature. She was quick to share what she had, and cherished quality time and memories over material possessions. Ashley enjoyed people who made her laugh, fishing, football, movie marathons, weekend adventures, Crocs, TikToks, and selfies. She looked forward to road trips with her siblings and fiancé. Hopkins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
