Archie Melvin Brown

Archie Melvin Brown, Sr. Mr. Archie Melvin Brown, Sr., died Friday, September 25, 2015, at University Hospital in Augusta. Mr. Brown was born in the Tyrone Community, and had lived in Wilkes County most of his life. He was the son of the late Robert Nathan Brown and Nannie Belle Tyner Brown.He was a sales and marketing executive in the outdoor power equipment industry, and was the husband of Chrean Sutherland Brown. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Graveside services will be 4:00pm Sunday, September 27, 2015, at the Washington-Wilkes Memorial Gardens with Rev. Thomas G. Hall officiating. Pallbearers will be Kevin Gebing, Zachary Gebing, Jeremy Melton, Jeffrey Roth, Archie Brown, Jr., and Robert Brown. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Chrean S. Brown, of Washington; two daughters, Cynthia Marie Brown, Cincinnati, OH, and Penny Gebing (Kevin Thomas Gebing), of Washington ;three sons, Archie M. Brown, Jr. (Sharen W. Brown), of Greensburg, IN, Robert Nathan Brown (Luraye H. Brown, Grovetown, and Daniel Victor Brown, of Cincinnati, OH; and eight grandchildren, Penelope Cheney Gebing Melton(Jeremy Melton),Brittaney Christian Roth (Jeffrey Roth), Zachary Addison Gebing, Ashley Brown, Nathan Brown, Brandon Brown, Justin Brown, and Carson Brown.
