Mrs. Annie Colbert Combs Crook, 87, of N. Hulin Ave., died Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Country Manor Personal Care Home in Tignall. Mrs. Crook was born in Lexington, GA, and had lived in Wilkes County most of her life.She was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Colbert and Mamie Huff Colbert.She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gordon Howard Combs, and by her second husband, Lynn Crook.She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Gordine Combs Knight.She was a retired seamstress, and was a member of the Phillips Mill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the Phillips Mill Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Woods and Rev. John King officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Combs, Darian Knight, Greg Gurley, Ricky Danner, Jason Bilotti, Matthew Pinholster, Dan Herrin, and Ben Danner. Mrs. Crook is survived by two daughters, Linda Combs Hart, of Social Circle, and Jackie Combs Martin, of McDonough; one son,James Howard Combs (Ann), of Conyers; nine grandchildren,(Linda’s children) Anne Hart and Karen (Dan) Herrin, (Gordine’s son) Darian (Angela) Knight, (Jackie’s children)Dena (Matthew) Pinholster, Haley (Jason) Bilotti, and Christina Martin, (Howard’s children) Kelly Combs, James Combs, and April Combs; and 13 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday evening, March 29, 2016, at Hopkins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Leukemia Foundation, P.O.
