Mrs. Ann Wideman Fleming, 84, of Sardis Rd., entered into rest Saturday evening, December 26, 2020, at her residence. Mrs. Fleming was born in Wilkes County and had lived here all of her life.She was the daughter of the late Watson Wideman and Susie Truitt Wideman, and was the widow of Mr. Thomas Fleming.She was a homemaker, and was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Mae W. Stratton, and Mary Wideman Davis, and by one brother, George Wideman. She is survived by her son, Larry Fleming, of Rayle; one brother, Thomas Wideman, of Rayle; and by one sister, Allene Wideman Moon (George), of Washington; and by a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Rayle with Rev. Jim Newsome officiating.Pallbearers will be Kenneth Wideman, David Wideman, James Wideman, Andrew Echols, Roger Stratton, Bobby Wideman and Michael Moon. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or to the charity of your choice. Hopkins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
