Alma Lunceford O'Neal

Mrs. Alma Norman Lunceford O’Neal, 90, of Washington, passed away August 8, 2014 in Harper’s Personal Care Home.A native of Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Lillian Lunceford Norman.She was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert Lunceford and Walter Hill O’Neal and also by her son, Kenneth Lunceford.Mrs. O’Neal was retired from the textile industry.She was a member of Phillips Mill Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held Sunday, August 10th at 2:00pm in Carter’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Woods officiating. Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Pat and Walter Tuttle, of Washington and Sandra and Henry O’Pry, of Athens; daughter in law, Mary Donna Lunceford, of Washington; grandchildren, Robert Newsome, Holly Lunceford and Bob Lunceford; great grandchildren, Jacob Newsome, Brett Lunceford and Brandon Dornberg; and one sister, Mary Boldin, of Martinez. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00pm at the the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Phillips Mill Baptist Church.
