Alma Gilreath Washington:Mrs. Alma Thornton Gilreath, 82, of S. Pecan St., died Thursday morning at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gilreath was a native of Wilkes County, and was the daughter of the late T.C. and Ruth Thornton.She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mell LuncefordShe worked at Royal Manufacturing for a number of years as a supervisor, and was a member of the Washington First Baptist Church. Graveside services will be Saturday, March 13, 2010, at 2:00 pm at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Albert Huyck officiating.The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 at Hopkins Funeral Home in Washington. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Gilreath, of the home; one daughter, Brenda Manget. ofNewnan; one grandson, John W. Sapp III, one great grandson, Brandon T. Sapp, two great granddaughters, Jillian and Ramona Sapp; two brothers, James (Buddy) Thornton, of Washington, and Jasper Thornton, of Lincolnton; one sister, Leila Edwards, of Florida; and a granddaughter-in-law, Katicia West.
