Agnes H. Smith Mrs. Agnes Mae Hester Smith, 79, of the Greensboro Rd., died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Harper’s Personal Care Home in Washington. Mrs. Smith was born in Washington and had lived here all of her life.She was the daughter of the late Joe T. Hester and Emmie Cofer Hester, and was the widow of Thomas O. Smith.She was a retired telephone operator for the Wilkes Telephone Company, and was a member of the Phillips Mill Baptist Church. Memorial services will be 3:00pm Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Hopkins Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Woods officiating.Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00pm until the time of the service at Hopkins Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith is survived by three sons, Bobby Joe Turner, of Washington, Mike Turner (Karen), of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and Robbie Turner, of Washington; four grandchildren, Jessica Dooley (Jeremy), of Washington, Dusty Turner, Dublin, Jacob Turner, of Norman, OK, and Amber Chyenne Turner, of Washington; and one great grandchild.
